Grobag Baby Sleep Bags are the safer alternative to top sheets and blankets. Grobag is FSID's (The UK's leading crib death research charity) only recommended baby sleep bag. An ideal time to start using a grobag baby sleeping bag is when your baby weighs more than 8.5 pounds (0-6 months size). It is very important to check that your baby's head cannot pass through the neck-hole when the grobag baby sleeping bag is fastened for use. Please remember that these are recommendations only as all babies are different. This Bedding & Blankets give to us some advantages, like this :
1. Perfect sleep sack for young toddlers in cooler climates - runs big
As the weather cooled here in Seattle, my daughter approached age 1, which is when the SIDS risk is reduced enough to introduce a blanket for warmth when sleeping. We do use a blanket for naps, but she usually ends up getting tangled in it or kicking it off. Therefore, we wanted a wearable blanket for nighttime to keep her warm in the winter when our thermostat is set to 66 degrees at night, and also give us peace of mind that she is warm and safe. Since our little girl is off the charts in height and already wearing 18-24 month-sized clothes, we first ordered the 18-36 month size and it is huge - as in, it might be longer than a standard crib mattress. We promptly exchanged it for the 6-18 month size. This size should fit her well beyond the time she outgrows all her 18-month-sized clothes, and I would think it is much too large for a 6-month-old.
After you find yourself with the right size, choose the 2.5 tog if you want a thicker, warmer blanket. The instructions suggest...
2. Love it!
We live in Alaska and my husband likes to keep the house cool at night (58-60 degrees). For some reason my son's room is the coldest room in the house and I worry that he is freezing at night. He sleeps in a 2.5 tog grobag with one piece cotton PJs and the cooler temperatures don't seem to bother him. Which is reassuring to me. Although they are on the pricier side, they are by far the warmest, softest and coziest sleep sacks we have found. I'd like to get the winter 3.5 tog bag , but haven't yet (its on my list). I would highly recommend this product.

Fabulous
I cannot speak highly enough of the gro-bag products. My daughter is a bit of a wriggler when sleeping so has been in these since she was big enough & I shall continue to use them until she outgrows them, which will be a sad, sad day in this house!
