Grobag Baby Sleep Bags are the safer alternative to top sheets and blankets. Grobag is FSID's (The UK's leading crib death research charity) only recommended baby sleep bag. An ideal time to start using a grobag baby sleeping bag is when your baby weighs more than 8.5 pounds (0-6 months size). It is very important to check that your baby's head cannot pass through the neck-hole when the grobag baby sleeping bag is fastened for use. Please remember that these are recommendations only as all babies are different. Size: 0-6 months minimum child weight 8.5 pounds; max child length 27"; 6-18 months: minimum child weight 18 pounds; max child length 34"; 18-36 months: minimum child weight 25 pounds; max child length 39". - 100% cotton interlock and 100% super-soft jersey cotton lining with applique detailing
- Quick-dry polyester batting on 2.5 tog
- Side zip on all sides
- Conforms to US, British and European standards for baby sleep bags
This Bedding & Blankets give to us some advantages, like this :
1. Good sleep sack
I like this sleepsack. It's good for warmer weather as it's 100% cotton. It's very long giving baby plenty of room to grow and it's easy to put on. I like that the zip is around the side instead of down the middle and that you can un-snap the shoulders so there's no wrestling with wiggly baby arms trying to get them through the armholes. However, one slight annoyance is that the picture shows additional snaps on the armholes, presumably to adjust the size as baby grows - well my sleepsack didn't have these additional snaps, so it wasn't exactly as pictured, hence the 4 star review instead of 5.
2. Super soft
I've purchased a few Gro bags from Amazon and hadn't realized that the outer fabrics are different. This "interlock" is nice and soft compared to the crisper "woven" cotton. Both keep my 13 month old nice and cozy but I like the softer feel of this style. I also noted that the 6-18 sometimes comes in front or side zip. Before buying any I always visit the actual Gro site (based in the UK) to see which fabrics and styles come in what size so I don't end up having to return items.

Best of the best
After over a year of trying different sleep sacks (Halo, Aden & Anais), I have to say that the Grobag is my favorite, hands down.
The Halo (I tried both cotton and fleece) seemed to fit and wash relatively well, but I always found them kinda cheap.
The Aden & Anais (I tried both the single layer and 4-layer) are gorgeous, but quite expensive for the quality - I found the zippers terrible, the muslin prone to ripping, and the 4-layer sack prone to developing fluff balls between the layers (that would eventually compact, causing hard little balls inside of the sleep sack that were impossible to remove without cutting the fabric).
Both Halo and Aden & Anais are rather limited when it comes to larger sizing - at 15 months, my kid is on the tall side, and was already pushing the limits on the XL sleep sacks.
So I decided to try the 18-36 month 2.5 tog Grobag - and am so happy with it! The cotton is very soft both inside and out (and comes in a...
