1. Adorable Dress - Arm Openings Really Large
I bought this dress for my daughter's first birthday and it was absolutely adorable. Everyone love it. My daughter is not quite in 12 months so it was a little large on her, but the arm holes were still REALLY big, even for 12 months. It wouldn't deter me from buying it though.

2. Pretty, but Runs Large and is a bit Scratchy
This dress is indeed adorable, but it runs huge! It says 12-18 months, but it is more like 18-2T. My 10 month old daughter (60th percentile, who already fits most 12 month clothing) swims in it. Ginormous. As the other mama reviewer suggested, Mud Pie really should make a smaller size, as not all babies are so giant by their 1st birthdays. (And this is a birthday dress, for just that--seems silly for it not to fit ON the actual 1st birthday.) My only two other nitpicky observations are that the skirt (inner cotton base layer) is very stiff and scratchy (the entire skirt itself is VERY full--as another reviewer said, wouldn't be ideal for a crawler), and it would be nice to have the first layer touching baby's skin be much softer; that, and the poofy thing attached to the top arrived flat, folded over and smashed, and even after much fluffing and what not, keeps flopping down and none of the fun bits can be seen. Although this is something that a little tacking with thread could fix,...

Adorable
I bought these dresses for my twin's first birthday party. They are completely adorable and I'm sure will be the hit of the party. My twins are on the small side, and the 12-18 size is too big on them (I wish they offered a smaller size!!). However, I'm going to give a few stitches to the straps and cinch in the back and I think it'll be fine.
